YA Writer's Group: Write A Novel in a Month with "NaNoWriMo!"

4:00pm - 5:30pm

What is NaNoWriMo? It stands for National Novel Writing Month, and it is a national, online program with a fun, empowering approach to creative writing. The challenge: draft an entire novel in just one month. For 30 wild, exciting, surprising days, you get to lock away your inner editor, let your imagination take over, and just create!

In our writer's group, you'll get help signing up for NaNoWriMo's Young Writers Program, learn how to use their site to do your writing, figure out what your word count goal should be, and get help with plotting, character development, world buidling, flow, inspiration, and more!

At the last meeting, writers will get a chance to talk how the experience was for them, share excerpts of what they wrote, and envision where they'd like to go from there - and celebrate with cake! Recommended for middle and high school, but upper elementary writers who are truly committed are welcome as well. Please click below to register.
