Book & Craft Pairing: Halloween & Glowing Pumpkin Jars

Pick up a book about Halloween or pumpkins & get a complete take-home craft kit!

The Hubbard Library Youth Room is offering a monthly book and craft pairing program; check out a book about our theme of the month, and take home everything you need to make an accompanying craft!

This month: Halloween & Glowing pumpkin jars!

After we receive your registration, we will send you a list of available books about the theme. Write back with your selection and when you pick it up from our curbside delivery service, we'll include a jar that contains everything you need to make this cute craft! If you need enough for multiple children, just select the same number of books off the list!

Please click below to register. Call (413)583-3408 x2 to schedule your curbside delivery appointment.

Preschool storytime: On the Go! (hybrid)

10:30am - 11:00am

This fall's storytime theme is “On the Go!” a seven-week session about trucks, trains, bicycles, airplanes, and other ways we get around.

Each storytime includes about 30 minutes of stories, finger-plays, songs and games related to that week’s theme, and meets on the lawn, weather permitting. We'll switch to a virtual format during bad weather.

PLEASE NOTE: You will be registering for the entire 7 week series, and do not need to re-register each week. Please click below to register.

Music and mindfulness on the lawn with Miss Renee!

Join us on the lawn every Wednesday (or virtually if the weather is bad) for a music-based mindfulness program which assists children ages 2-5 and their caregivers in becoming more aware of the present moment, focusing on both their physical and emotional well-being, and connection to the world around them.

"Whose Shoes" Story program for 5-8 year olds

4:00pm - 4:45pm

Meet Youth Services librarian July on the library lawn for tales about real people who have led funny, fascinating, and inspiring lives! Biographical stories presented in picture book form are the hot new genre, and we’ll get inspired & entertained (& maybe even educated, shhh!) as we spend 30-40 minutes “walking a mile” in different people’s shoes each week! Recommended for ages 5-8.
