ADULT: Painting on Textiles - Scrunch Paint a Silk Scarf

6:30pm - 7:30pm

Join Garine of Kulina Folk Art to paint your own silk scarf.  We will discuss colors and how to blend them in a successful manner using a permanent, high chroma, highly transparent liquid fabric paint. Instructions will be given for a step by step “tie dye style” creative process and each participant will go home with a beautiful, wearable creation. At the end of the workshop each participant will take home their scarf and allow it to dry overnight. Once the piece is dry, it can be ironed on the silk setting to permanently set the colors. The scarf is 100% silk with a hand rolled (hand sewn) hem and 8” x 54”. Bring an old to protect your clothing.

This event is for adults only.  Registration is required. Please sign up here.
