Celebrate spring things with our 6 week Story-and-Play story time session for 2 year olds! Each story time starts with a 15 minute free-play period, followed by about 15 minutes of stories and finger plays, & finishes up with a simple craft & a snack.

This storytime supports emerging readers by exposing them to authors & series geared towards them in a lively, engaging setting, complete with craft to broaden their interest and a snack at the end of the hour! Children's Book Illustrator Visit!

LOCAL ARTIST SHARES HER PICTURE BOOK!

Local artist Mary Elizabeth Silva is the illustrator of the book The Pet in my Pocket by Anne Marie Kiel, and will visit the library to share her work on Thursday, May 10th. After reading the book aloud, she will lead children through a hands-on clay craft inspired by the book! 

Refreshments will be served, courtesy of the Friends of the Library.

Art Night: Make the Summer Reading Program Decorations!

6:00pm - 8:00pm

We need artists & craft kids!

The Library needs crafty and creative kids aged 6 & up to help us create  the decorations for our popular summer reading program. The Children's Department gets hundreds of visitors during the summer months, so we like to highlight the reading program theme by making the room look fabulous! This summer's theme is "Libraries Rock" and it's all about music! There will be lots of fun 3D artwork to make: ff you like to paint, build, do paper mache, collage, glue & more, this program is for you - come help us!

You can sign up for any of the three programs, or all of them; please register for each individually. Click below to register.
