Storytime for 3 - 5 year olds

Date: 3/25/2019

Time: 10:00am

Description:

Each storytime includes about 30 minutes of stories, finger-plays, songs and games related to that week’s theme, followed by a craft project and a snack; the total storytime runs approximately 60 minutes.

Please note that when you register, you are signing up for the entire six-week session.

 

 

POKEMON CLUB!

Description:

Join us for an hour & a half of trading, dueling, handheld gaming,& learning under the guidance of experienced young adult volunteers who will watch over trading for fairness and teach how to play for those who are new to the game. Sing With Me! Music Program for Preschoolers & Their Grown-ups

Description:

If you have a little one who loves music, this program is for you! Join us for a half-hour of adult-&-child singing, clapping, and stomping along to favorite kids’ songs, with occasional musical instruments or accompanying books thrown in! No need to register, just drop in! Please note that adult participation is expected for this program - and it's fun!

Pop Culture Collective

Description:

Unite for an afternoon of broad-spectrum fandom! Each week will have a different theme - anime, Pokemon, Steven Universe, Star Wars, cosplay, superheroes, & more - discuss, play, watch, and geek out! 

This club is open to ages 16 - 22, and all are welcome!

What a Green Screen Is and How to Use It

Thanks to a LSTA technology grant, the library now owns a “Green Screen” for public use! Find out what it is and see a demonstration of how it is used.  The screen will then be available during regular library hours for in-house use to all.

Story-and-Play for 2-3 year olds

Description:

The fun, easy-going 45 minute storytime includes 15 minutes for free play, 15 minutes of stories, fingerplays & songs, and 15 minutes of craft and snacktime. Registration is required. Please note that when you register, you are signing up for the entire six-week session.

Table-top Games Club

Date: 3/27/2019

Time: 1:30pm - 5:00pm

Description:

Join the Games Club for an afternoon of role play, stragegy, co-op, pvp & board game fun!  Meet up, make new friends and play RPGs like D&D or card and board games weekly! Don’t own games, no worries, we do!  This club is ideal for 20 and 30 somethings, though any adult is welcome.  We also have a games club available for people under 18 known as the Pop Culture Collective. 

 

 

KANGAROO TIME!

This program is for the bounciest, wiggliest, most active little ones! Movement, music and games are mixed in with quick, interactive books for a rollicking good time, with no sitting-still required! Adult participation is expected in this program.

Ready-To-Read Storytime for 5 - 8 year olds

Description:

Children who have entered grade school journey towards being readers, but they still love listening to stories, and doing so aids in literacy skills! This program is designed to support your emergent reader by sharing a sample of stories & series that are geared toward various levels of early readers, & get them excited to use their new reading skills on the sequels later. Stories are followed by a craft, and we finish up the 60 minute session with a snack.
