Ice Cream Paper Games Day!

Drop in any time today to play ice cream-themed paper games -

crosswords, connect-the-dots, mazes, word searches, hidden pictures, coloring pages, and more!

 

 

 

Story-and-Play for 2-3 year olds

10:00am

This winter we will enjoy stories, games, songs, and crafts about sea creatures. The 45 minute storytime includes 15 minutes for free play, 15 minutes of stories, fingerplays & songs, and 15 minutes of craft and snacktime. The session runs 6 weeks, weather permitting. 

This program is crafted specifically for the attention span and interest level of toddlers. If your child is older than 3 or has a greater capacity for sitting and listening to stories you may want to consider our storytime for 3-5 year olds, which runs on Mondays at 10am.

Ice Cream Read-a-thon!

Celebrate ice Cream Week at the Hubbard Library with a sweet read-a-thon! Pick up a Read-a-thon form in the Youth Room, read at least 5 books during Ice Cream Week, and bring back the completed form for a gift certificate from Friendly's Restaurant!

Read-a-thon forms completed during Ice Cream Week (1/28 - 2/2/19) can be brought in through 2/9/19.

This program is for the bounciest, wiggliest, most active little ones! Movement, music and games are mixed in with quick, interactive books for a rollicking good time, with no sitting-still required! Adult participation is expected in this program.

Ready-To-Read Storytime for 5 - 8 year olds

4:00pm

Children who have entered grade school journey towards being readers, but they still love listening to stories! This program is designed to support your emergent reader by sharing a sample of stories & series that are geared toward various levels of early readers, & get them excited to use their new reading skills on the sequels later. Stories are followed by a craft, and we finish up the 60 minute session with a snack.

Make Ice Cream Slime!

We will top off "Ice Cream Week" at the Hubbard Library with a slime-making workshop that looks - and smells - like the real thing!

The workshop starts at 10am, but you may want to come early - it's also National Eat Ice Cream For Breakfast Day, and we'll have an ice cream bar out for our patrons!
