Volunteer for us!

The Library is accepting applications for summertime young adult volunteers. Volunteers put away books in the Children’s Department, help prepare arts and crafts projects, and assist the Children’s Department staff with clerical tasks. Applicants must be going into 6th grade or older. Volunteers generally work one hour a week. Applications are available in the Children’s Department.

HUBCON: THE LIBRARY’S 5th ANNUAL ANIME CONVENTION

Anime screenings, discussions, gaming, a cosplay contest, & more! Speaker Sarah Hodge-Wetherbe from Anime Boston will be one of our featured panel presenters. This program is for adults & teens, & is free. If under 18 years old, you must bring a parental consent form, available at the library or downloadable from our website. Please register online or in the Library.

3-D & Robotics Makerspace program

2:30pm - 4:30pm

See, learn about, and use some of the coolest new tech out there, like a 3D printer, a CNC milling/carving machine,   Ozobots, Little Bits Electronics, & a bunch of other cool stuff. Participants will learn how to use the TinkerCAD & possibly Easel programs. Optional (but helpful): bring your laptop if you have one, so you can learn on your own device (no software needs to be installed to play with the programs introduced in the workshop).
