The Hubbard Library Youth Room is offering a monthly book and craft pairing program; check out a book about our theme of the month, and take home everything you need to make an accompanying craft!

This month: Thanksgiving and booklover's autumn wreaths!

After we receive your registration, we will send you a list of available books about the theme. Write back with your selection and when you pick it up from our curbside delivery service, we'll include a bag that contains everything you need to make this cute craft! If you need enough for multiple children, just select the same number of books off the list!

Hybrid program: PreSchool Storytime series "Look Up!"

Monday morning storytime!

Meet Youth Services librarian July each Monday morning for 30 minutes of funny, informative, engaging stories, finger-plays, songs and games!

This is a hybrid program: the program will take place on the library lawn when weather and safety allow, with equipment set up during the live event for those who wish to participate virtually; the program will happen only via Zoom when needed due to weather or safety. 

For safety reasons, registration is required. If the program is happening virtually, please note that REGISTRATION CLOSES 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE PROGRAM BEGINS. You will receive an email with a private, secure link to participate via Zoom.In order to participate You will need a device with a camera & microphone in order to participate. Let the library take you to the zoo!

The Hubbard Library has arranged an exclusive weekly visit with the Memphis Zoo in Memphis, Tennessee! Senior Veterinarian Felicia Knightly will spend an hour each week giving an insiders view of what it's like to take care of the animals physically and medically, show us training sessions, and get up close and personal in a way you'd never get with a live zoo visit!

Upcoming visits will include: giraffes (we'll get to see how they train the giraffes to get into their hooves trim, which is no small feat for an animal so big!), red pandas (we'll watch one get an getting ultrasound for pregnancy!) plus sea lions, grizzlies, seals, polar bears, reptiles, giant pandas, elephants, bonobos, orangutans, lemurs, aardvarks, sloths, rhinos, & more!

Each session will include time for questions and answers from the participants!

Pick up a book about Thanksgiving or autumn & get a complete take-home craft kit!

The Hubbard Library Youth Room is offering a monthly book and craft pairing program; check out a book about our theme of the month, and take home everything you need to make an accompanying craft!

This month: Thanksgiving and booklover's autumn wreaths!

After we receive your registration, we will send you a list of available books about the theme. Write back with your selection and when you pick it up from our curbside delivery service, we'll include a bag that contains everything you need to make this cute craft! If you need enough for multiple children, just select the same number of books off the list!

Hybrid program: PreSchool Storytime series "Look Up!"

Meet Youth Services librarian July each Monday morning for 30 minutes of funny, informative, engaging stories, finger-plays, songs and games!

This is a hybrid program: the program will take place on the library lawn when weather and safety allow, with equipment set up during the live event for those who wish to participate virtually; the program will happen only via Zoom when needed due to weather or safety. 

For safety reasons, registration is required. If the program is happening virtually, please note that REGISTRATION CLOSES 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE PROGRAM BEGINS. You will receive an email with a private, secure link to participate via Zoom.In order to participate You will need a device with a camera & microphone in order to participate. Biographical stories presented in picture book form are the hot new genre, and we’ll get inspired & entertained (& maybe even educated, shhh!) as we spend 30-40 minutes “walking a mile” in different people’s shoes each week! Recommended for ages 5-8.

Join us for a night of quick thinking and speed as we play an indoor scavenger hunt. Olivia will give everyone the same item to find and you have to be the first one to find it or find a creative alternative! Fastest finders will earn points and the people with the most points at the end of the night are the winners!

Grow, play and learn for little ones and their grown ups!

Come join us for stories, songs and skill building, led by an Early Childhood Developmental trained staff member, guiding caregivers in strengthening interactions with their child.  Program happens via video conferencing and  includes curriculum, Ages and Stages Questionnaire and resources to fit your child’s individual needs. For ages Birth - 4 years old.
