Anime Character Glass Painting

3:00pm

Innovative, Anime-Inspired Glass Painting for teens

This 2 day outdoor workshop for ages 12 & up will lead participants through creating a glass painting portrait of a favorite anime character.

First session, Thursday July 1st 3-5pm: Intro, tracing, and fine details

Second session, Thursday July 8th 3-4:30: Painting and shading

Anime lends it self well to glass painting because the technique uses black lines and simple shaded-in areas. All supplies will be provided, and the program will take place under tents on the library lawn (in case of very bad weather, the program will move to the following Thursday/s).

Space is limited and registration is required. After you register, select an image that you'll replicate on glass. Look for an image that is simple and doesn't have a busy background or a lot of shaded areas. Examples:

          GOOD                       BAD

        GOOD                        BAD

Send your image to hubbardyouthroom@gmail.com at least 48 hours before the first session, to allow us time to print it in the right size and dimensions.

After the 2nd session, your artwork will stay at the libary to dry and can be picked up the next day.
